Handbell Choir, called Bells of Praise, has started. We meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. We are in need of one or two bell players so all of our octaves can be played. Anyone, ages 10-99, can play!!! We can mark the music for you. We would like to have a full choir soon, so we can play for the bishop in January. Contact Mary Wiser(855-4916) if you wish to join.

Rally Day picnic and floor signing on September 12th at the New church. 525 Farmersville Pike, Germantown Ohio 45327.
We will eat at 1:00 and sign the floor at 2:00
Please decide what kind of scripture you would like to put on the lower level flooring along with your name. There will be markers available, just bring your verse!
Bring a covered dish, a friend, chairs, and if you have a table! (please note, there is no electricity at the church yet, so you will not be able to cook at the church.)

Youth Worship Service, Sunday, September 12th
Please join us for worship September 12, 2010. Both worship services will be conducted by the youth. We are very fortunate to have such talented young people!
Let’s learn about the first component of our restructured Youth Program… AFTERSHOCK!
All 6th – 12th grade students have four ways to be involved in our program. Our first Aftershock event is on Sunday evening, September 19th. The evening will be a structured event including Bible study, worship music, activities, and small group discussion. We hope all youth will join us in the church sanctuary from 6-8pm.

The Gumball Club and Kids for Christ is starting Wednesday, Sept. 8th! These are youth groups, The Gumball Club is for 3rd - 5th grade and Kids for Christ is for Preschool - 2nd grade. They will be held the 2nd and 3rd Wed. from 6:30 - 8:00 at the church.

Sunday School teacher resignations: Charlotte and Kent Genslinger - PreK and Kindergarten and Carol Bullock - 5th and 6th Grades - The church thanks you for your time and teaching children about Jesus.
New Sunday School teacher assignments: Charlotte and Kent Genslinger - 5th and 6th Grades with Carol Bullock and Patrick Thomson assisting when they are away from church. Edwina and Jeffrey Jones will be teaching the PreK and Kindergarten. The church thanks you for your devotion in teaching children about Jesus.
Teachers needed: Assistant for Barb Watkins in 1st and 2nd Grades. Replacement for Mary Anne and Stan Price for The Purpose adult class. Please, prayerfully consider serving God in these positions.

The Children's Defense Fund, a United Methodist Women's coalition partner will sponsor The National observance of Children's Sabbath set for October 15-17, 2010. GUMW will observe it at the October 4th meeting with leader, Marjorie Anslow. All ladies of the church are invited.
